Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoThanks, Sarvi and Cat! Courtney, the skirt is designed to sit at your natural waist, but it’s really a matter of your preference. Just like if you tried things on at a store, you get to decide how you want to wear your clothing. If you prefer it to sit a little lower, that’s up to you. Mine sits at my belly button or slightly lower, yes.

And we squeezed in the lazy days skirt! In the cutest/nerdiest chess embellished fabric ever!!! You can see it here on our blog. How’s it going for you? Have any skirts sewn? Have any skirts left to sew?

Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoI love both tops. The Maritime I am nervous about because I haven’t sewn much with Knits. I have the hopscotch pattern though and I am going to make a few of them for my daughter (I already made 1 last week) and if they turn out OK I will try the Maritime. I love that style.
I love the Gallery tunic most. I can see me making many of those…[Read more]

Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoI ordered the tunic and the knit top– as well as the everyday skirt on paper. So yes! I enjoy sewing the same thing again and again, so I look for classic yet interesting lines. I’m a slow sewer, and when making things for myself I like to make a piece and then wear it for a long time while thinking about what changes I’ll make the next time…[Read more]

I LOVE both tops and if this month were not so insanely busy I’d have ordered and made them already. I absolutely love the Maritime top, it’s one of my favorite styles and I have a few that all have something sligh…[Read more]

Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoHey all, I asked Todd to create this group so we’d have a place to easily discuss sewing for ourselves. So first question: feedback on the new Liesl + Co patterns? Are these styles you want to sew for yourself?

Chloe’s going through another growth phase and isn’t sleeping too brilliantly. So as a result my sewing time is suffering slightly.
I have managed to use the overlocker to finish the edges of the Teaparty dress and the carousel dress I have cut out – both pink. The aim is to pleat the carousel and sit and do some smocking and embroidery either…[Read more]
