Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoI can definitely see myself making all three. The skirt will probably come first, especially if I can make it fit onto a remnant of thick wool jersey that I have. I think it will make a smashing winter skirt.

I started a pair of Field Trip cargos this weekend – the fiddle bits on the pockets and the faux fly slow me down sometimes, but I powered through and finished on Monday. Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoHello. I have bought all three patterns. I can really see the gallery tunic being made quite soon, in something light weight. If I had time before my holiday I would. I will also be making it to wear to work.

I have made the skirt reversible several times. I omit the ties, and leave both elastic casing for a ruffled top. My daughter loves them.
I don’t know why you couldn’t still use buttons for the top. It seems to me that it’d be similar to when I made the bubble dress reversible, but used buttons to coordinate with each side.

Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoI really love the Gallery Top – it reminds me of the Tova tunic which is a shape I love. I never made the Tova because my research indicates it doesn’t work well on large busts. I’m wondering how the Gallery will be for a large bust – I don’t see any darts – but I can’t make one for myself until after baby anyway and by then I’m sure there will…[Read more]

Has anyone thought about or tried making this pattern reversible? The skirt is fully lined, so it seems like it would be pretty easy. The buttonholes for the drawstring casing would be on both the lining and the skirt so the drawstring could be drawn out either side.
For the top, would you just have to add another ruffle and sandwich them both…[Read more] - Load More
