Well, I muddled through – I made life hard on myself by making these out of Taslon (slippery as all get out and hard to iron) and shortening the pattern in two ways (traced length a size down and took an additional half-inch out of the upper pieces. I trimmed the top pieces twice and did it wrong both times (ugh, sewing at night), so they didn’t…[Read more]

Maybe a little overstated, but . . .
A good friend is facing very serious surgery, and he wants button front pajamas (the button-front will be needed for medical reasons). I’m looking for pattern recommendations.
Also, he has a print he likes from Spoonflower. I don’t have any experience with their substrates. I’d love advice on what would be…[Read more]

I grew up with a John Deere mechanic dad and both sets of my grandparents were farmers. I can totally see Jed’s excitement over a price reduction like that!

I’ll look out for your picture of your AP dress, Simpson5. I’d love to do it with both skirts – just for fun.

Babies grow far, far too fast.
Their childhood I know will not last.
Some days might drag on
Sewing goals are not won

I’m so glad you agree! I will show here the two patterns (one I haven’t got yet) and she can decide.
I am trying to pin sleeves onto the three playdate dresses all whilst having ChloΓ« on my lap “passing” me the pins. I have to give her a job to do or my job doesn’t get done!
Tonight once she is in bed I can sit down and decide what to do the…[Read more]

I don’t mind too much if I’m in the headspace, although company is even better π Some of the things have been in my mending pile since last year! I ended up with a spare day and felt like getting through my sewing “to do” list π
Things done: blue onesie, school tracksiut pants mended, stripe jumper mended.
Things skipped: sewing brown buttons…[Read more] -

@withloveHeidi may I send you my mending? I hate that kind of sewing!
So all three yokes have minipiping firmly attached and I have one pinned and ready to sew – all whilst texting to find out how the outdoor ed camp went.
I had a request to use the pink denim for a jacket – I can really see this as a moto and would use the Lisette pattern for…[Read more]
