Jan Jeddeloh started the topic Lowering bust dart on Geneva in the forum liesl + co: geneva v-neck blouse 2 years ago
I am trying to make Geneva in size 18 with the D cup bust problem. My muslin shows I need to lower the bust dart about an inch. 67 year old boobs aren’t very perky! Normally I’d box it and slide it down but I’m flummoxed by the big bump out which start pretty much at the sleeve seam intersection. I don’t want to just change the angle of the dart…[Read more]

Apologies that I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking. The overlap is probably about 2″–you’re right. So as long as your buttons and buttonholes line up to leave that amount of overlap and they still fit I think it should be fine. Very cute, by the way!

I have mostly completed my Secret Agent Trench. I would like to go with single white buttons, 1” or just over – these brown ones are maybe 1 1/8” – for the dots to match up, and there is a 2” overlap of the front pieces. Should this work? Am I missing anything? This coat went together super quick and easy – If you are thinking about it – go fo…[Read more]

Yes, quite a few of our customers have lengthened this style! If you check the hashtag on social media you might see it? Just continue the lines as they’re drawn and it gives a nice line. Can’t wait to see when you’re done!

I’m checking the pattern and it measures exactly the same as the skirt waist. Could it be that you cut the wrong size facing? Or maybe the fabric stretched? The facing measures exactly the same as the waist for all the sizes…

You can definitely raise the neckline if you want. In terms of other alterations, it all depends on how the blouse fits you from the start. Raising the neckline won’t affect the overall fit.

I had the same issue as Mandy with size 12, view A. Waistband was 1.5 inches too short.

Hi, I’d like to make the everyday skirt as a midi or maxi in rayon. Do you think that just continuing the lines of the side piece will make a nice shape? Or would some other adjustment work better? Thanks! (by the way, I made my first version knee length in light cotton and love it – great instruction as usual)!

Oh wow, thanks for the inspiration! Those are some cute dresses, and I think just the sort of thing my almost-5-year-old would like. I finished the Playtime dress and am a little unsure about the empire waist, so I think I’ll definitely try a School Bus top next time.

There’s no end with what you can do with a t-shirt!
