Jennifer1568- thanks. I will be getting to this muslin in the next day or so. I will start by trying them in the same spot and see what happens! Since this is her 2nd fairy tale- and the first one still fits pretty well- except for length- I have been looking at the first one to sort of gauge adjustments that will be needed, 🙂

I made a muslin, too, and lengthened the bodice 1 inch. I started with the darts like they were on the pattern but moved down 1 inch. I kept them the original length. Then I had to deepen the back darts when my daughter tried the muslin on. I made the base of the back darts wider but still kept them the same length.

Have you checked out Liesl’s posts on fitting the fairy tale bodice on the blog? they seem quite extensive and my help you with placement.

I think there may be another one but I can’t find it easily. -

I didn’t take them out as they were hidden in a seam at the top. Unless basting stitches will show I tend to be a little lazy in removing them. 🙂

I marked the darts so I had them evenly centered, but on the musin the real darts to for my daughter were so much different, really only the position on the waistband was the same. I think you’ll be fine marking guides on the lengthened waist with a muslin.

Disclaimer-have not made this pattern yet!
If they are basting stitches,I would remove them when completed.
So excited to see this ‘tenue’. -

I did just above the seam, the bottom of the trim skims the seam and it looks like a belt.

I would be inclined to slightly cover the waist seam, but not to flatten out the gathers. I guess it depends on what kind of trim you use and what looks good to you.

I also bumped another thread on digital patterns you might like to check out. Sometimes we presume that info is really obvious when it’s actually very obsure!

I found Nicole’s hint of using double sided stickey tape to tape them together very helpful.
In the corners the patterns have letters, you match the letters (ie A-A, B-B, etc) and this helps you get them together correctly. it’s also worth checking the page with a pictures of the pattern pieces just as a final check that they are all together…[Read more] -

Yes,you do have to join them together.
That is pretty standard with PDF’s.
Something like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/8508925824/in/photostream (Not an o+s,blush)
I swop internet time with my son if he puts them together for me.

Hi thanks so much for your quick response! The patterns I have are the tea party sundress and the Sunday brunch jacket and skirt. The printer setup says no scaling and I have now changed it to border less – I am still getting part patterns on a piece of paper – does this mean I have to cut and stick all the pieces together?
