Ahhh, Shelley – you beat me to it – your average Aus print shop can’t print the large format sheets 🙁 – but as You say, taping the pages isn’t actually that big an issue – I do it while watching tv – I don’t sew at night any more, so this is a way I can do something sewing related and still be sociable.
However, if you know an architect or an…[Read more]

And so I was curious to try again…
an online search finds lots of reprographic shops in my large capital city. Most of which are only listed as a business directory listing and would need a phone call to see what they can do. About a dozen had websites. Most of them only offered A3 or A2 at biggest. One or two offered A0.
Eventually I found one…[Read more] -

@Sarvi, the problem is that the largest standard paper size in Australia is what’s known as A0 which, in inches, measures 33.1×46.8
(link: http://www.papersizes.org/a-paper-sizes.htm)
There are some PDF’s which might print fine on that if you check first that they don’t go beyond about 33″ of the intended 36″ print. But plenty of others would lose…[Read more] -

We finished our attic conversion in January this year and in February I could finally move into my new sewing space. I put up some progress pictures on Flickr.
I also did a blog post on it here.
After having used it for almost a year I can truly say I love everything about it. I am a messy sewist though so the room is not this…[Read more]

Hello to all the wonderful ladies in this group, and as far as I can detect, the only man, the brilliant Todd who made this forum possible. I am one of a remarkably tiny clan , that of Moms in India Who Sew Oliver and S Patterns For Their Children ! I know of one other member , Elephantinthestudy, in this group. To tell the truth, I only recently…[Read more]

Where in Australia are you? Try googling “reprographics [town name]” and see what that pulls up. I tried it with Sydney and Rapid Reprographics, Allied Reprographics, and Reiga Reprographics all came up on the first page of results. I’m sure if they couldn’t do it they could recommend another printer who could, who might not have the word…[Read more]

Thanks for the welcome. Justine I am in nnsw near the Queensland border. Hot and smoky here today but the bush fires are under control, thankfully.
It is weird how some are inundated with scary snow and we are sweltering in the heat at the same time.

Definitely not tight on my girls. I have the blue silk tweed you sent Lidia set aside to make Trixie that very dress.

Wow, it’s great to see new members.
Maybe to clarify a question…
Registering for the forum is one type of account. The other, the shopping account, requires registering anew. I think you can use the same info, but as Todd so kindly pointed out to me once, they are separate for security reasons. Your purchase account has higher security,…[Read more]

Checking in again with a lot of the same questions as above if anybody feels like taking a fresh crack at them.
I saw this last week (and the photo absolutely does not do it justice, in person it takes your breath away):
