I have the press thingy – its green. But they are a cinch to put in with it. The only thing is you have to just keep changing the knobs and of course they come in sized sets. That sounds about right to me!

Knits may be quick to sew but to get a quality looking garment you have to put in the time to get the grain straight and the fabric smooth.

I like to lay my fabric out a few hours before cutting to let it relax and re shape. Ball point pins are great as is using a combination of pins and weights.

Yes, Melanie is clever and has such wonderful taste! The dress I’m making is a surprise, so I have to wait until the kids go to bed to cut it out tonight. I’m excited!

I have been using the KAM one and they seem to be fine. Except they are a pain if you put them in the wrong way!

Ah I finally found one…Bubba Earth has some in packs of 20. You can choose primary colours, jewel colours, or pastel colours.

It is possible, but would depend the width of your fabric and whether or not you are using fabric with a directional print. The pieces need to be cut as mirror images of themselves, so ideally you would cut with the fabric folded.
