  • I know. If testing wasn’t such quick turnaround I’d love to have overseas testers! But you know how long shipping takes. For future reference, however, if you live abroad (from the U.S., that is) and have access to inexpensive oversized printing we may be able to work something out! Email me and let me know if this is the case, ok? I’d love to…[Read more]

  • EDITED: We have all the testers we need for now, but please see my note at the bottom of this thread if you’re overseas and would be interested in testing in the future. Thank you so much, everyone! What a talented and enthusiastic group you are!!!

  • We get emails from people wanting to be pattern testers all the time. Here’s your opportunity! I need a few people to test a women’s skirt for our spring collection. The pattern has already been tested, but I want to be absolutely sure it’s correct since we had a little grading glitch the first time.

If you’re SERIOUS about wanting to be a…[Read more]

@with love Heidi, flexibility but responsibility. Roots and wings, as Jed and I like to say. 🙂

@EllenMCM, it has been so very hot here it seems a bit bonkers to be sewing trousers.

I made a tiny Tea Party for Beatrix today, purely as sewing therapy after the dress for my cousin. It was palate cleanser indeed.

Next up, some nighties for Trixie…[Read more]

  • I would have used felt and paint. That blue painters paint works well on felt. I do a lot of the costumes for my son’s school and at play time, I feel like I have a full time job sewing. Last year for Hairspray, I made something like 16 dresses as well as a bunch of other pieces. Wouldn’t have been so bad if they weren’t all different sizes…[Read more]

I want to perfect fitting and learn bra making. I also want to continue making clothes for my youngest granddaughter but also get into making garments for my two grandsons- bought…[Read more]

The second Ottobre blouse is now underway, with the placket all done. It’s a busy week at work, so I’m taking it in small chunks. Sleeves and side seams tomorrow.

Nicole, I have some field trip trousers on my to-do list as well, for my dd who loves her field trip shorts and for my nephew who is two and is refusing to wear anything else. But I’m…[Read more]
