I’m sure it would be divine.
I would work out how many and approximately how deep I wanted the pleats to be, then calculate the skirt width from that to check against the original skirt and see if the “fullness” is similar.
More maths but quite fun I you’re into it. Or you can play with basting as Nicole said.
There will be a blog post soon about…[Read more] -

Fiber Club! 10 years agoA month’s worth of weekends (including some days of 40C in Adelaide) has seen me finish 3 quilt tops. The must do content were a tablecloth/lap quilt, and a single bed quilt for my aunt/godmother who turn 88 in May. I’ve made many quilts during the last 10-15 years, but haven’t worked on any for a year. So I’m very pleased to have these projects…[Read more]

I have only made one skirt out of this pattern, but I day dream about all the possibilities. I just saw a wonderful skirt at Max Mara… really really cute… and I think I could be able to make something similar to it with this pattern. The skirt has some pleats on the front… and I was wondering if someone has tried that out.

Just finished my very first jump rope dress! Can’t wait to (try to) photograph my girl in it! Two year olds are very reluctant models! And while it is still fresh in my memory, I am thinking of making a view B version for my niece.

Thank you everyone! My very generous sister picked up the new Lisette patterns for me at 1.99 each! The sales clerk helped her out.

Butterick was on sale at my Joann’s for $1.99. The Lisette dress I bought didn’t ring up but the lady fixed it because it was advertised on sale.
Sarvi, I have the Joann App on my phone which shows current sales. I have shown that to the cashier before and they will change the price. I always check before I go because my Joann’s has issues. -

I went to my local and there was no discount apparent, no sale signage — maybe it varies by location?
