Justsewit, I am hoping that you choose the fabrics that will allow you to do some smocking. Smocked bonnets on babies are just so precious and the time for smocked bonnets is so short. I can’t wait to see what you make.
EllenMCM and Katybellabug, I am anxious to see you badminton skorts. I am going to be making one sometime…[Read more]

Did you have a look at Sarvi’s link @mcholley1? Aren’t they cute prints?! @Sarvi you have such good taste in fabric!
Is there anything in particular you little man likes on his shirts? I love a good check shirt and stripes (I made Noah a sketchbook shirt in Cape Ann stripe) are always good.
I do like fun prints so things that would appeal to his…[Read more]

I would underline using something like cotton voile or even a single cotton gauze. Just thick enough to stop your seam allowances being visible.
Then line in a lightweight cotton, or maybe bemsilk lining.
Cut the skirt as one piece so you only have the centre back seam and then you could get away with not underlining the skirt, but I’d do it…[Read more] -

I have not yet made it in eyelet, but I’ve made it with a lace skirt, and made the Pinwheel in eyelet and many of the same tips that apply to sheer fabrics apply here as well. Hi all,
I am getting ready to make my 2nd Fairy Tale dress (first was a “Baby Anna” Halloween costume, seen here https://flic.kr/p/pKCL6H).
