I went to post this on the Lisette forum but I see it is no more???
Anyway, as part of the many things on the to do list this school holidays, I want to finally sew the moto jacket for my eldest. She has chosen hot pink stretch denim which totally fits her personality and even though it definitely doesn’t fit within the colour scheme that seems…[Read more]

Thanks so much for your reply, @justsewit.
I’m actually making view A… The pattern days to cut 2 interfacing strips. One for the crotch And I assumed the front snap packet needs the other strip but it doesn’t actually say where or whe attach it.
Any ideas?

I made a top for my 3mo niece from the Lullaby Layette pattern! (The shorts are knit cuff from Brindille and Twig)
She has so many clothes they e been given as gifts and hand me downs she doesn’t need more but I take my job of doting auntie very seriously!
I did French seams for the whole top. It’s a light voile so that worked well. I could not…[Read more] -

Sewing for Yourself 9 years agoI will be traveling to USA in a couple of weeks, and I would love to buy some Lisette fabric plus some good cotton knits. It’s a business travel and it will be hard to find much time for browsing, so I would really appreciate some help. I will stay one day in Rochester, Mn, one day in Chicago, one day in Boston and two or three days in NY.

I am supposed to be sewing a couple of jumpers (pullovers/ sweatshirt – keep you warm outerwear) for dh whose birthday is tomorrow and some more sleepshorts. But I am not getting very far.
My little sewing nook is normally child free. Not anymore as the child has discovered how to get in🙁 And since it is school holidays and I have three children…[Read more]

Hi Connie @totter2, if you are doing view b then the interfacting is not required. If you are doing view a (the bodysuit) then the interfacing goes on the crotch area.
I hope this answers your question.

I’m working my magic with fabric,
Of a colour described as “dab brick”
It’s not easy to sew
So I’m taking it slow
Afterall, it is only cambric!(Sorry @lightningmcstitch I felt compelled to challenge everyone unnecessarily😀)
I’ve just made a long journey home
(A bit easier for you I hope)

Never mind! Solved my own problem. My HP printer doesn’t offer “None” as a print scaling option. The default setting on the print dialogue is “Actual size” which is what I was using. By setting the print scale to 100% on the “Custom scale,” the pattern printed at the proper size.

I am having the same difficulty as JHyden. The test square prints at 7/8″ no matter what I do. Do you have any suggestions? I’ve checked and the print scaling shouldn’t be a problem.

After rain that has had the gauge climbing
But the wind is so cold!
If I weren’t so old
Then I’d be outside wining and dining!I’m working my magic with fabric,
