Melville CardiganI made the short cardigan, but this wasn't the correct pattern for me, and I should have known that from the photo. I didn't like the neck so wide and don''t care for dropped shoulders. So, I had to make many adjustments to have it fit how I wanted, but I was mostly able to. I used the interfacing suggested, and it wasn't the right one for my light sweater knit, so it is a little lumpy at the shoulders and too evident compared to the rest of the sweater. Next time, I'd try a simple woven interfacing. I also used five buttons instead of four. The pattern is fine; it's just not the right one for me.Was this helpful?Perfect Fit!I made the short cardigan in a double-sided wool and it fits perfectly, without any adjustments. I love the fact that all Liesl tops come in cup sizes, which saves me the hassle of making FBA. This is a very easy pattern with good instructions, although I will make the cuffs first next time before closing the sleeve seam as it was very tight top stitching around the v-notch after the seam was closed and difficult to keep the stitching even. Was this helpful? In this video, Liesl introduces you to the Melville Cardigan + Vest pattern.
