Not too heavy or thick jacket fabrics with some body (light-mid weight denim, gabardine, etc). Suitable lining fabric.

Such a great patternReviewed by Jenny Watts (✓ Verified Buyer) on 04/02/2022This is a well designed, well thought out pattern. I made it in a wool tweed, lined with a self-quilted lining fabric. The instructions are easy to follow and all the bits I expected to be tricky were well explained and worked perfectly. I’ve got a professional looking coat that would retail around £200 (uk) The only place the instructions need to be clearer is in the attachment of the lining to the vents. I subsequently found the vent article on the blog 🤦🏻 Wish I’d seen that first! The only sizing issue with the pattern is the hood. It’s enormous and doesn’t have any adjustment or mechanism to pull it in so it is purely decorative, not functional.
