Description

The simple shift is a true all-occasion garment. Pair with flip-flops for a stroll along the boardwalk, or with a headband and dressy flats for an evening at the symphony. This little dress features a tailored fit with a slight A-line flair. The notched neckline and dropped-waist belt can be made of matching or contrasting fabric. The bodice and skirt have multiple cutting lines so you can get just the look and fit you are after.

Suggested Fabrics

Choose light to medium-weight fabrics. Pre-wash prior to cutting.

Notions

All purpose zipper (16" for sizes up to 3, 18" for sizes 4 to 8, and 20" for sizes 9 and up) and Glue Stick (for attaching zipper).

Single fold bias-tape. For best results, make your own as described in the pattern. You can also purchase packaged 1/2" wide single fold bias tape.
