Description

Invite comfort and elegance to your everyday life by way of the Plitvice Top! It is an easy summer sew packed with personality. The graceful cowl of the center front adds interest to a simple shape. Try using a knit fabric with vertical stretch to create a lower, drapier neckline, or use one with only horizontal stretch to create a higher neckline.

Plitvice Top features:

• Elegant cowl front with gathered bust shaping
• Integrated cap sleeves finished with arm bands
• Hip length hem finished with bottom band
• Slight waist shaping
• Layers feature (print only the sizes you need)

Suggested Fabrics

Primary Fabric: Use a lightweight knit fabric with at least 75% horizontal stretch. Fabric with good drape, such as one with rayon or bamboo content, is ideal. The front cowl will drape lower if using 4-way stretch fabric and higher if using 2-way stretch fabric.

Notions

• 42" (107 cm) of 3/8" or 1/2" (1 cm or 1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain)

Choosing your Size

• Compare your bust circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your bust best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.
• Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your waist best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.
• Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are in between sizes, choose the smaller size.
• It’s OK to use different sizes for the waist and hip. See instructions for details.
If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the top. See instructions for details.
• It is highly recommended that you check your fit by making a test garment with inexpensive fabric that has similar weight as your final garment fabric.
