Suggested Fabrics
Primary fabric: Medium weight four-way or two-way stretch knit with great recovery and good drape, such as jersey, interlock, sweater knit and rib knit, is suitable. Note that without good drape the top may gape at the cut outs. Ideal stretch is at least 40% (able to stretch fabric from 4” to 5 5⁄8”). Contrast fabric: Light to medium weight woven fabric with or without stretch, such as shirting, twill, sateen, seersucker, crepe de chine and charmeuse, is suitable. Avoid using feather weight fabric as the fabric may creep up when you move. Also avoid heavy woven fabric.
Notions
- 40" (102 cm) of 1/4"(0.6 cm)-wide clear elastic, fusible bias tape or bi-stretch interfacing to stabilize cut outs

Choosing your Size
- Compare your bust circumference (fullest part of chest) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your bust best. If you are in between sizes, pick the smaller size.
- Compare your fullest hip measurements to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are in between sizes, pick the smaller size. Because the contrast fabric is a woven fabric with no stretch, be sure to allow some ease and avoid sizing down too much at the hip.
- It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust and hip. All you have to do is print the sizes that you need, and blend the lines from one size to the next from the bust to the waist to the hip.
- I highly recommend that you check your fit by making a test garment with inexpensive fabrics that have similar thickness and stretchiness as your final garment fabrics.
