Description

Lucy is the classic halter dress. This pattern features multiple coverage options and fits all body types. Long or short, it is stunning on every woman.

A simple tie at the neck, elastic back and you are good to go. Take it everywhere, especially on the next vacation. It is a true show stopper that you can make in a flash!

Design Options

Coverage – Two separate bodice patterns are included. The Classic Halter style has bikini-style cups that meet in the center. While cool and breezy, the classic version is still perfectly appropriate for all occasions. The Full Coverage style crosses over at the front, and also comes up higher under the arms to wrap more fully around the sides and back.

Skirt Length – The A-line skirt can be made in a range of lengths from mini to maxi. The longer the skirt, the more flare at the bottom. The short lengths make for great tops!

Fabric – The dress can be made from a single fabric, or multiple fabrics can be mixed and matched. We love using a contrasting fabric for the lining and/or waistband.

Suggested Fabrics

Choose light- to medium-weight fashion fabrics for the dress. All fabrics should be pre-washed prior to cutting.

Notions

1" wide non-roll elastic (1/4 yard for sizes XS - S, 1/2 yard for sizes M-3X).

Wash-away WonderTape or a similar, double stick basting tape. Note: A glue stick or needle and thread can be used as a substitute.
