Laureles Square Neck Top - beautiful fit
Reviewed by Elle ( Verified Buyer) on 06/04/2024
I sewed a muslin in white cotton lycra, size 12 with D cup with short sleeves. The fit was beautiful. I will sew a 2nd top trying with a lighter weight cotton and lighter weight knit interfacing. Getting the corner of the square neckline to lay flat with the cotton lycra self facing was a challenge, so I will try again with a mesh lining and very lightweight knit interfacing. I wanted to try the sleeveless version, but could not understand the instructions for finishing the armhole, so I will try using a complete lining for the bodice, and skip the facing pieces (fuse interfacing directly to lining piece).

  • Errata

In the first version of the pattern that was released, there was only one Piece 7 included. It was later determined that the pattern will sew better if separate Piece 7 pieces are used for the A/B cup, C cup, and D cup options. If you have the first version of the pattern, you may download a PDF file with the separate pieces by clicking on this link. This error has been fixed in the version of the pattern currently available.

    Determining Which Printing You Have

As errata are discovered, they are marked for correction in subsequent printings of the pattern. To determine which printing of an instruction sheet or pattern sheet you have, look at the copyright box which appears on each. Toward the bottom of the box, there is a series of numbers.

The lowest number you see there indicates which printing you have. For example, if the lowest number in the box on the instruction sheet is "2," you have an instruction sheet from the second printing. Any errors in the instructions mentioned for the first printing have been corrected in your version. If the lowest number in the box on the pattern sheet is "1," you have a copy of the pattern sheet from the first printing.

Pattern sheets and instructions sheets can be printed separately, so be sure to check the errata notices for pattern pieces against the printing number on the pattern sheet and errata notices for instructions against the printing number on the instruction sheet.
