Description

Sweet Carolina Mae features flattering empire styling with options galore. The structure of the bodice comes from a triple darted lining. It can be topped with a ruched (gathered) overlay, or the outer layer can be darted for a smooth finish. The sleeveless version is perfect for spring and summer, but the option for sleeves makes this dress a true four-seasons staple. This silhouette is gorgeous for all figure types, and the patterns feature multiple bust cutting lines to get the perfect fit for different cup sizes. Depending on your choice of fabrics and options, you can take it from casual to elegant, perfect for weddings and celebrations of all sorts!

Suggested Fabrics

Choose light to medium-weight fashion fabrics for the dress. The lining should have a similar fiber content, but can be a lighter weight than the fashion fabric. For cotton fabrics, fabrics like muslin and broadcloth work well for the lining. All fabrics should be prewashed prior to cutting.
