I would be tempted to make the tutu and then the fairy tale with a very short skirt as the peplum (ruffle on the bottom of the skirt).
Here’s a tutorial for making a tulle circle skirt.http://www.cottonandcurls.com/2014/01/very-simple-tulle-skirt-tutorial/
I would probably line the skirt as well to prevent any scratchyness or see throughness.

I really like the tulle overlay skirt. Although the idea of a black and white polka dot dress sounds pretty good too 🙂

The coverstitch machine should be a lot of fun.
Tomorrow, I’m surprised there they have access to mobile phones! The last high school camp I went on in Feb all the mobile phone confiscated on the first day and only given back once a day 🙂 -

Doing a little bit more on the denim quilt and sorting all the fabric/scraps my friend gave me. It’s interesting sorting someone else’s fabric cast offs. Lots of red and green and no purple 🙂

I plan to finish off the winged badminton skirt, just needs wrist straps and ribbon ties. Add A tag to a dress and do the buttons and buttonholes on the trench coat. And go through the bags of fabric from my friend 🙂

Spent a lovely day sewing with a friend. I hadn’t realised we had spent 11 hours sewing until her husband sent their kids to bed!
I finished the quilt for my husband and did quite a bit on a denim quilt I’m making.
My lovely friends also went through her “scraps” for me. I came home with 5 shopping bags full including the horse print from…[Read more] -

Snoods sound like a great idea. Isn’t it nice to be able to make one rather than having to look for one in the shops!
I’m finishing up the trench coat. I’m sewing up the fleece lining I add. then I’ll need to go and get some buttons.
I started a denim/jeans leaders and enders quilt. I’m surprised at how much I’ve got done just putting one or…[Read more] -

Havd you seen A Little Gray’s tutorial? She shows alternative construction steps with no hand sewing. I have used her method very successfully. http://alittlegray.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/lttsa-bucket-hats-part-3-look-no-hand.html
I wouldn’t be surprised to find a few folds as your stitching opposing and bias curves. If it were me and the hats…[Read more] - Load More
