So, should the B6411 had been a Liesl+co pattern, my measurements would appear in size 10 instead of 16, right? And I have to draw a 16 to make the dress in my size.

I forget what it calls for–1/4″, maybe? In general, you don’t want to reduce the size of the shoulder pad because it will cause the shoulders to droop more. I see no reason why you couldn’t use a lighter weight fabric for this pattern. It think it will be great!

There are some really great classes on Craftsy involving fitting. I have particularly found the classes by Joi Mahon helpful. The reason for this is that even though I have a dressmaker’s dummy to pin my Muslims onto, it doesn’t look like me and of course because of this it turns out totally wrong and fits the dummy not myself.

Yeah, I kind of realized it was a huge question. However, thanks for pointing me to some good resources. I will just have to keep a running list of types as I peruse blog posts, pictures, etc. I wish one could find more stores that sold apparel fabrics (and decent ones).
