Hallo Lovelies!
May I ask anyone who has sewn this groovy little number, how it fits?
I want to make one for Tildy (6) but the bucket hat is too small for her so I am wondering if I should size up to the large (7-10 years).Thank you in anticipation.

After making Tildy some dungarees I would like to bump @Helena’s suggestion of a dungarees/overalls/romper/playsuit pattern.

Masha Richart replied to the topic Buying a bolt of fabric in the forum off topic 10 years ago
I think a lot of places will ship fabric on the bolt if you order the right quantity. I don’t know about Fabric Mart, however, they do have some chambrays in stock now, one in large quantity, and they’ve got a pyramid sale going so you can get a good discount: http://www.fabricmartfabrics.com/Chambray/

I am so sorry, I can’t see the problem.
Does the underarm side seam match up? -
Nicole replied to the topic Late Lunch Tunic – short sleeves? in the forum liesl + co: late lunch tunic 10 years ago
I think your fabric choice is the key to that decision.
Both sew up beautifully in a draping fabric (wool, silk) but I think the Late Lunch is a bee’s whisker more flattering in a firmer woven (linen, chambray)I wonder if the collar doesn’t look a bit snappier in a woven too.
Just my opinion, of course.

I have been trying to answer but had locked myself out!
I would try laying one sleeve over the other.

Fiona, I have found the Playtime to be pretty on par with my other oft-used patterns – Music Box, Bubble Dress, Class Picnic, etc. So for my slender girls I size down the width considerably – the last ones I made (woven) were a size 2 with length but that was a while ago. I’d say I go down two sizes or so from RTW but that is the case with the…[Read more]

Could you post the photos here? (I’m not on Facebook but I’ve made the Music Box at least seven times so I might be able to help).

Ellen, I aspire to do that one day. My husband keeps talking about my sewing him a suit (and I fail to contain my laughter every time he mentions it) but a shirt I could probably do. It just feels daunting!
In my quest to sew all the knits in my stash (where this came from, I have no idea), I have started making nursing loungewear. I found a…[Read more]

In my quest to sew all the knits in my stash (where this came from, I have no idea), I have started making nursing loungewear. I found a sweet pattern on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/171370912/e-pattern-sweet-blossom-lingerie?ref=shop_home_active_1) that includes variations for a nursing sleep bra, camisole and gown. I made up the bra and…[Read more]
