While we have a school days rain jacket cut and ready to go, we’ve been scheming some ‘subtle’ Disney sewing!

Hi Susan,
I’ve done the Parachute pants in size 10, and I don’t have any problem with the waistband. The style is more fitted than pajamas pants but not as fitted as yoga pants. There is still a bit of ease, like the Afterschool pants.
Hope this can help.

I bought a Gertie border print and now my daughter is in a size that to use border prints, I need a waist seam in the pattern. I am eagerly awaiting the twirling dress. It is in some ways a simplified version of fairy tale (in a good way), it seems. Although anytime I have an even slightly fitted bodice, I have to make a…[Read more]

Susan, I am sorry to hear that. I can’t speak to the parachute pant ease or sizing. Maybe they are cut narrower like a yoga pant? I don’t know.
I always measure before I choose a size. And I really look at the final measurements guide.
Not so much because of size consistency or lack thereof, but rather because who knows if they’ve grown…[Read more]

@madtownmama– I’ve sewn most of the O+s patterns, but I haven’t noticed any real issues with size inconsistency. I actually have to lengthen the sleepover pants (well, all pants patterns) for all 3 of my babies, and while I haven’t made the parachute pants, I noticed you had an issue with the waistband, so I’m wondering if you utilized the wrong…[Read more]

While not Easter, I am looking forward to the new dress pattern you previewed. My daughter has kindergarten graduation in June. That pattern is the perfect level of dressy casual.
I can’t wait. ๐

I was trying to line the lullaby layette pants but no now I need to unpick ๐
Stupid thing 1: sewed while tired and feeling slightly unwell
Stupid thing 2: sewed after 9pm at night
Stupid thing 3: did not stop after making first mistake!
Stupid thing 4: not checking I could turn them through once pinned
Result: endless loop of pants and lining…[Read more] -

That waterfall neckline sounds interesting, I would like to see it. I discover I like waterfall cardigans after making the Swoon one last year.
I’m finally adding elastic to the waists of 2 pairs of denim layette pants. I feel like I haven’t sewn much in the last week or so, hoping to get back to it this weekend. -

I changed up a Metro tee to have a waterfall neckline last year and I have now made my second one (with a third in the pipe line as I’m still undecided on the colour of the second one).
I was super pleased with the first version of the waterfall neckline so I didn’t make any changes to it other than cutting a long sleeve but that was because I…[Read more]

I thought I’d revive this thread – I know some of you are interested.
Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria gave birth to her second child, a boy, yesterday evening.
The new little Prince will be named Oscar Carl Olof and has been made Duke of Skรฅne (Scania, my county actually, yay!) by his grandfather the King.
The only two persons who were Duke…[Read more]

So glad to hear she’s enjoying school, Tamara!
I also didn’t see the maintenance notification, this is the first time e I’ve been able to find the site in over a week. Although I was able to see this forum once during the week on my phone so I knew what was going on,even there I couldn’t get the new site the next day.
It’s good to be back ๐ - Load More
