I’m like Masha…I prefer cotton/lycra knits when I sew for the kids. It’s relatively easy to work with and seems to hold up well. My personal rule of thumb is to use 8-10 oz. weight fabrics for tops and dresses. 🙂

I really like my name and I like that it isn’t too strange but isn’t an everyday name, and I would rather it didn’t become too commonplace. Not that it really matters in the bigger scheme of things I don’t suppose!

Really looking forward to hearing what names have been chosen; a good friend and I are punting for Alice, and/or Helena. Plush Addict, a UK based online fabric store is selling some tana lawns, which are Liberty Lawns but are not the ‘A’ grade rolls sold in store at £15 per metre-ish. A great deal if you are not put off by any slight flaws. With a busy pattern they probably wouldn’t be noticeable. It is all above board/legal and is not ‘knock off’ fabric (I have asked!).
