This weekend we had our annual turkey dinner for our parents and everyone was very happy with the food.
Sunday was Father’s Day here and my in-laws invited us to brunch at the coast. It was nice to see everyone,…[Read more] -

I drove to town all by my lonesome last night after dinner and took a stroll in the cemetery to look at the All Hallows Day lights. Since we’ve done our daylight saving it gets dark around 5:30 pm and I was there around that time. The entire cemetery was filled with little twinkling lights and in one area there were what could only be described as…[Read more]

My overlocker has come back though – but it turned out to be worn out and couldn’t be fixed. Not that it matters because I came away with a new machine which is both serger and coverlock.

Thank you Liesl!
Tamara, shipping from (and to) the US will be the death of my checking account. I made burp cloths for a friend in the US and they weighed 500 g (1 lbs-ish) and it cost $19! -

I would recommend finding a good ruler that has inches and all eight fractions marked and try and not think about if 1/4 inch is 0.6 or 0.7 cm any more.
I found my sewing was a lot more…[Read more] -
