Last night I finished the 2+2 top. Today I hope to keep going on the music class shirt but am comsidering changing the sleeve to short ones considering our very out of character spring like weather when it is supposed to be cold and raining!

Some of my patterns have been printed in two sheets, not sure about the reasoning- mostly the larger size ranges or adult patterns. I second looking for a local print shop, mine knew exactly what I needed and was better priced than the office supply chains.

Sew Alongs 10 years agoAny specific recommendation for the interfacing for the Parachute Polo? I have Pellon SF 101 but I think it’s a bit too heavy.

To be honest, I don’t really know. I just wanted to experiment. I think it would have everything to do with where the seam was and what fabric you were using that would lend itself to advantages or disadvantages. I would think this way would be ideal to use with fabrics that are light but fray alot. This way cutting is kept to a minimum as you…[Read more]

Johanna, are you long in the body? If so ( like me) I can just lop off the hem. If you are short bodied you may want to shorten above the waist line.

They fall at the hip. I think it just looks low because of the style. Its a great pattern. I have made this one for both my older daughter and my son and hope to make a pair soon for the baby.

You sew the seam at the seam allowance of 1/2 inch. Then when you go to press yhe seam, you open up the seam allowances and then fold the raw edges into the middle, close up the seam by pressing the new folded seam allowances ontop of each other and then stitching along the edge to close the seam up. In the end it looks like a french seam but done…[Read more]

Sew Alongs 10 years agoI’m going to have a go at this and i’m looking to use fabric from my stash but i’m not sure whether it will be ok as I don’t really ‘understand’ Jersey fabric. I have some really stretch stuff, about 8% elastine which I’ve discarded as it feels too stretchy and would be better for leggings. I have some very soft slightly thicker 100% cotton Jersey…[Read more]
