My sister and brother in law and their daughter are coming to have Christmas with us this year. It will be the first time ever! They are staying to celebrate Chloë’s first birthday with us also which is super exciting as they have not seen her yet.

All this Christmas excitement has unfortunately been dampened as my husband had a motorbike…[Read more]

Oh yes I know you are right @withloveHeidi. I didn’t have to do one on the Bistro dress and it fits like a glove. But knowing how the big four work, she will need an fba because she is not a 14 through the shoulders etc and it would be more work to decrease the 14 than it would to increase the 10 or 12. Besides this, if the big four work more to…[Read more]

Can’t wait to see more of those photos @cybele727 -I see you put some up already.

I have (finally) been able to cut into some fabric to make these B6183 heavily altered view b pants in slightly stretchy denim. I must hope I have a navy invisible zip!

My darling sister purchase me a voucher to buy some liberty lawn (just for me) at a shop I found…[Read more]

Have a wonderful time @cybele727 Disney would be the ants pants – have always wanted to go! Florida sounds similar to Queensland for us. Such a pity we didn’t have Disney in Australia. We have to go to Hong Kong for the closest.

I’ve made two pairs of sailboat pants, size 12-18 momths in preparation for Christmas parcels etc.

Today I am continuing the alterations of B6183 and hopefully will get to actually sew a pair.

I am also tossing up whether to sew a pair of stretch denim pants for Imogen as she is going on a school trip to Perth this Sunday and they are going to…[Read more]

Wow! Lucky you Nicole! What make is it? It is just so important to have a good comfortable vehicle to drive around in, especially with growing children. We made our one and only trip across the Nullabor when I was 16 in a Nissan pulsar hatchback! Guess who had to sit her six foot self in the back all the way to Murray Bridge? NOT comfy so it is a…[Read more]

Do you have any of the recent Lisette for Butterick patterns @roundtheworldgirl? If so then maybe grey lisette skirt or trousers with a nursing friendly (if needed) top in probably mustard if it suits your skin tone? Sounds exciting.

I have been busy cutting bottoms for the baby and am only now starting to sew them, starting with a pair of…[Read more]

Everyone is busy with holdiays and family (I am busy nursing a sore head).

I have been attempting to trace and cut patterns in a larger size for the baby now so I can get straight on with the fun stuff.

I should be sewing boy things (but I have lost my patience with vague instructions written by people who don’t normally speak English it seems).…[Read more]

  • @cybele727 that sounds exactly like something I’d be prone to doing. I do that with pattern pieces! And speaking of, I had to go and print out yet another copy of the puppet show shorts today because it seems to have grown legs and walked (again!) one day I will find the hoard of hidden puppet show patterns😜

I had planned to sew during Chloë’s naptimes but unfortunately my melancholy mood has had me not getting to that point! I have been Christmas shopping online instead. Maybe I might feel a bit happier after I help the guys shift machinery home and will want to go and shut myself away after the baby goes to bed tonight. It is a little difficult…[Read more]
