Forgetting where I put a pattern whilst planning a project and then ordering the digital version out of desperation, printing a copy and then finding the original paper pattern under the fabric I intended to use with it!

I am half way through constructing skirt number two. Have taken a break to turn in for the night and listen to dh’s snores (oh joy!). I have given myself permission to get on with joining in the skirt challenge since I have been relieved of formal dress sewing duties (thank goodness for that).

I still love Alexandra or Charlotte for her though. And I would think they may even use Catherine as this would have ties to not only Catherine herself but to her maternal family.

I finished the Popover #8 last night, _ the one that didn’t make the post in time, and have spent most of day taking advantage of sunshine to chose fabrics for a variety of projects. Job done, but my feet are killing me, and the mess I was attempting to clean up is not much improved. But I think I’m ahead on points.…[Read more]

Really looking forward to hearing what names have been chosen; a good friend and I are punting for Alice, and/or Helena. I think that there is also a reasonable chance of ‘Margaret’ being included in the “string”. (This was the name of the current Queen’s sister, and only sibling, dear Republicans).
