Heidi, I just purchased the odf pattern of the Appleton. Did you have issues downloading it at all? It doesn’t seem to want to load on the ipad😕

I have to alter patterns also and it has just become second nature to take any pattern I want to use for myself and go ahead and alter it to fit me. I’m with the group: I wash and dry my fabric before cutting and then line dry after sewing. The wash and dry is a just-in-case precaution–because every once in a while something sneaks into the drier. But rayon is a pretty durable fabric, for the most part, so you should be fine with machine washing.

Do you have to make significant changes with the colette patterns?

I have dabbled with Ottobre patterns when I didn’t have the baby to sew for. I had more luck with my daughter than with my son. My only gripe is the sewam allowances aren’t included on everything. I have some issues but none of the later ones – the bookshelf is getting rather full😉.
