Great plan, @meleliza ! I know what you mean about upcycling adult clothes. You’d think there was ample yardage but the seams hit in funny places, and often unpicking the seams is so much trouble for so little usable fabric that it makes more sense to just trim them off. The one consistent request from our oldest niece is a RAINCOAT. She has mentioned it for months and now we are tickled that we have the fabric in hand and are ready to hit the ground ~~running~~ sewing! We are really wanting to use hot pink {red might even be okay} toggles. Does anyone have a good source for a set of these in a substance that wouldn’t crack?

I’ve never learned to love eggplant – maybe I should give it a try again.

I’m stuck on the quinoa. It’s so good, I’ve had it for lunch all last week and this week. I make a batch on Sunday night, divide it into 4 jars and top up with chicken, fish or beef. Perfect for lunch.

Tonight, http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/24751/classic+moussaka, as I was given 3 beautiful glossy egg plants.
I added extra garlic, salt and pepper as well as salting my egg plant before cooking it.

I love silk thread.
