Thanks ladies. Where do you source your knits? She likes the hopscotch shirt, so I might try that as a dress. I am wondering if she might like the playtime dress if the bodice were knit and the skirt was woven. (I have made the whole thing out of knit but haven’t tried mixing fabrics) Has anyone tried knit and woven together?

Ladies, I need help. Give me some ideas of what to sew for my seven year old. I have sewn the library dress and she seems to still like it. But she doesn’t love the playtime dress I recently made her. Any thoughts on what your older girls like best.

EmilyG replied to the topic Fleece Nature Walk pullover–still use interfacing? in the forum oliver + s: nature walk 9 years ago
I have made it out if micro fleece without interfacing and didn’t like the way the collar fell. Most recently, I used an interfaced woven for the placket, under collar and pocket facing. I used a polar fleece for the main pullover. I was happy with the results. And it was so much less bulk to sew.

I love my O&S patterns. I am almost afraid to sew with others. I know every time an O&S pattern will work and it will fit. And given my disdain for muslins, I try to stay away from patterns where I am not guaranteed a good for.
That said, I would so love to tackle a blazer under Liesl’s direction.
