@Cathbe, the best way to determine whether you need the twill tape (which I would actually recommend even if you don’t “need” it) is to check the stretch from selvedge to selvedge. If it stretches or if the fabric is quite heady you’ll almost certainly want it. I hope that helps!

I have not had a chance to upload the pattern of the larger size for advice on the cut out. Hopefully, I will do that in the next day or so.

Paris!

Ah, that makes me so happy, @mychurchdoll! I’m headed to Paris in a few weeks–maybe I’ll get to wear mine, too! It’s been too warm here to wear it so far. Can’t wait to see photos, everyone! xo

The Lisette B6244 coat went to Paris this past week on my DIL. It suited her for the plane travel as well as the late October temperature in Paris.
I can’t wait to try another one.

I’m not sure it was me who suggested the two cakes, but regardless I am very glad for you that the cake (and all the other catering) went well. I can’t wait to see more photos.

I think it went a little slowly for me because I was timid with the iron. This was my first project with wool and I was was afraid to be too heavy handed with the heat. My favourite moment was one of the uncles dragging Hugo’s old go-cart up and down the track with passenger after passenger while 30 odd whooping children ran after them, like a noisy parade.
