What is your favourite garment in the Flickr group?
So, I check the Flickr group at least once a day and always get excited and inspired by the stuff there.
I have quite a few marked as my favourites and was wondering what your favourite or most inspiring piece in the group is.
For me, my current favourite is this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/36076483@N06/4559496756/in/faves-39113615@N06/. It has inspired me to make the Sketchbook shirt for my son (currently in production).
Although this morning I discovered SahmColorado’s pajamas (http://www.flickr.com/photos/47664205@N06/4645570957/in/pool-oliverands) and now I *need* to sew that pattern next!
So what about you? What’s inspiring you at the moment?Liesl GibsonKeymaster@liesl
I just have to chip in because I’ve been itching to say…
I am floored, floored, floored by the amazing photos showing up in the Flickr group. Every day there is a new bunch of beautiful outfits sewn by each of you. It’s so gratifying and astounding to see them all!
So thank you. I’m truly humbled by what you’re making with our patterns. Truly.
Thank you Liesl, Its lovely to hear that, and that you think we are doing your patterns justice.janimal @janimal
I love love love looking at the FlickR photos. I have ordered fabrics based on what I have seen people use. My current favorite is this Birthday Party Dress in French General by Moda. I had to order the fabric – look how gorgeous it is and how well made this dress looks. I just love it.
I can not do the link thingy ! Sorry I tried and ended up with some chick rock climbing! ( true dinks !)
Have you seen spool- sewings xmas pj’s, absolutely divine , they are on page one of o+s flickr page , so,so gorgeous
I can’t find that spool sewing one Nicole, but they sound cute. I have two friends with babies due in November (gender is going to be a surprise) so xmas jammies might be just the thing to sew.
My other current inspirations are:
Nicole’s (!) jumprope dress – I love the print teamed with the white placket: http://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/4478325661/in/faves-39113615@N06/
Sasikirana’s jumpsuit, I really like the fabrics used: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sasikirana/4600029588/in/faves-39113615@N06/
Edoo’s school days jacket – saving up for the $56 postage it’s going to cost me to get the wool from USA!: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46441620@N07/4267212186/in/faves-39113615@N06/
Ivey’s playdate dress. I adore the butterfly button detail: http://www.flickr.com/photos/iveyc95/4267055724/in/faves-39113615@N06/
Tinker’s tea party dress. The bold print teamed with white accents and dark piping is divine!: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21413122@N07/3590610096/in/faves-39113615@N06/
And now that I have a son and a daughter, i am going to take inspiration from this gorgeous pair when they are a little older: http://www.flickr.com/photos/72545752@N00/3443853518/in/faves-39113615@N06/
So much lovely stuff! You will probably see the above pieces referenced in my sewing over the coming months. Plus a few ideas of my own 🙂
Is some clever person able to teach me how to do the link thingy ?
Hi Nicole. I just copy the link from the Flickr group and paste it in as regular text, and it automatically becomes a link when I submit my post. Hope that helps!
I just adore this outfit ; http://www.flickr.com/photos/hannah-hoosier/3225670973/in/faves-motherof5/
