I want to make a sleeveless garden party tunic. In the instructions it says to cut 1/2″ off the sleeve hole and add the bias binding. Can I remove the 1/2 inch from the pattern when tracing instead?

You possibly could but then you have altered your pattern permanently.

I think I would make the bodice and then trim, then if things are a wee bit uneven, you can trim them up at the same time.
