I used to be able to buy flat shell buttons, at the local fabric chain store, that were 3 or 4 to a package. Now I can only find them in a huge bag and most of them are concave. Is it a matter of preference which one you choose or are the concave buttons seconds?

I buy my buttons in bulk,I get most things that way-wash powder,cereal,milk,children…..

I tend to pick through them and use the flat ones on the backs of things or where it really matters and the curvy ones for decoration and making brooches and hair accessories.

It is still very economical to buy them that way, even if there are a few rejects.
