Seam Allowance

    Hello!

    I am learning to sew, and am so happy to find this wonderful website. Lovely patterns!

    My daughter loves her lazy days skirt. Thank you so much!

    Am now moving on to the popover sundress. One very basic question – does the pattern include seam allowance? I have measured the size of the dress pattern (size 4), and it comes to (nearly) exactly like the garment measurements on the first page.

    Should I factor in seam allowance prior to cutting the fabric?

    Please help – am staring at my piece of fabric not knowing what to do.

    I have not made this dress,but all the other patterns have seams included.

    I’ve made it once, and cut it assuming a seam allowance was included – fitted perfectly!

    All our patterns include the seam allowances, and all seam allowances are 1/2″ unless otherwise stated.
