    Hello~

I’m new to sewing school uniforms and haven’t really used anything beyond quilting cottons. Can anyone give me some examples of typical uniform-type material? Navy blue is the color I would be using (their plaid is too hard to match.) Thank you.

Twill or chino make nice ‘bottoms’. Cotton poplin makes lovely crisp tops. A lot of schools use poly/cotton for ease of laundering , but I find it doesn’t breathe as well.

Sueded Twill is one of my favorites to work with because it’s soft. I like to find the kind that is heavier-weight for a better bottom-weight drape.
