You can find the Playdate dress pattern in both sizes at Farmhousefabrics.com

Duh! I didn’t think to look for patterns and interfacing at farmhouse…thanks for your tips everyone I found both sizes and purchased this morning from sewblessedfabric.com, on Flickr someone suggested that to another person and I found the patterns I was looking for, now just waiting to see them in person!

So glad you got the patterns you were after – I jumped onto that site and you must’ve been quick as they aren’t on there now. I’m still waiting for my bubble pattern and am hoping it is in the post box when I go to town next – along with my FF parcel.

I just wanted to let everybody know that Pieces and Patches in Lexington, SC has several of the OOP patterns avaliable. Here is what I saw yesterday in the shop:

Bubble Dress (small and large sizes)

Swingset Tunic and Skirt (small and large sizes)

The owner is wonderful and is willing to ship out to people that are not local. There phone number is 803-359-3442.

I was debating on the Bubble dress for my girls and decided to pick one up in the larger size range. What kept playing in my head while I was standing there trying to decide was that someone here had mentioned that it is only a 1 yard dress (for the main fabric). This was really the deal breaker for me and so I picked it and some Modern Workshop fabric up as well. My 3 yo will get a birthday bubble dress in the chocolate and pink rick rack print fabric. I still have several months before her big day but I am already itching to start sewing it.

Today I popped into “Out of Hand” store, mentioned in my first post in this thread: https://oliverands.com/forums/topic.php?id=690 and she still had some of the OOP patterns. She had the smaller size Play date dress, story time PJs and Swing Set patterns. 🙂

This site has a few of the others as well. One other suggestion for folks who really have their hearts set on a particular style but can’t seem to find it — I noticed that some people who hadn’t been able to find the Sugar City Village top (I forget the exact name) found a similar blouse and then added in some of the elements that most attracted them to the original. I know it’s not quite the same thing, but it seemed some folks were able to make some changes, such as to the placement of the buttons, that they found they liked better than the original. Patterns are a starting point, after all, as I have come to learn. Many patterns I didn’t care for at first glance have become favorites after seeing what the clever folks on flickr do.

Here’s something that’s sort of like a Japanese Ottobre: http://superbuzzy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=72_74&products_id=8177

Don’t be scared to make a garment your own!

Couldn’t you see how some of those could be starting points for really sweet creations of your own?

You’re right of course. That’s a good point. I’ll probably be forever on the lookout for a simplicity that looks a little like the puppet show. Wouldn’t be too hard to add those pockets to another bloomer type pattern and some gathers and leg bands, etc. But it would be a little more work. Oh well.

I’m really upset! I went to purchase the smallers size of the Sandbox pants pattern from Farmhouse Fabrics, and it was sold out!!!! Tried all the other places I can think of and the same.

Has anyone seen this smaller size sandbox pants pattern anywhere at all? I thought it would be good to have for baby gifts.

    Tamara,

Last I saw, there were some at the store, Out of Hand, which I mentioned in this opening post: https://oliverands.com/forums/topic.php?id=690 . All the contact information is in that opening post.

    Good luck,

    Thanks Carol,

I sent them an email and then kept looking and actually found it at another place I hadn’t thought of (mainly because I thought of the international posting). Anyway they have it I’ve placed my order and the confirmation email has just come through.

Hello! I’m new to the Oliver + S forums. Anyone is looking for the OOP Jump Rope Dress in size 4-8… FYI – Robyn from “Patchwork on Pittwater” (Sydney, Australia) did some ringing around and has chased some up. Not sure how many she actually has, but she has now got a couple in. If you’re wanting one, check out her website http://www.patchworkonpittwater.com.au and contact her. Awesome lady! I sent her an email, she didn’t have any but did alot of searching and was able to find some. Mine is on its way in the post 🙂

Does anyone need a copy of the Bedtime Pajama’s Size 4+? I found a local shop that had both sizes and meant to pick up one of each and accidentally picked up two of the same size 🙁

They were 30% off! Since I have to go back and get the smaller size, they had Sunday Brunch (Larger sizes–I don’t remember if they had the smaller size), Bedtime Story, and Sandbox (both sizes). If anyone wants a copy let me know.

http://www.jiddispatch.com.au/ Just letting ppl know who are in search of the OOP patterns that My local quilting store has quite a few of them in stock. Big size PJ’s and the tea party pattern etc. No puppet show pattern though, sorry, I made her look through the drawers for me:) She is very happy to mail it out, although you would have to pay the Australian price of AU$25.50! Oh.. their website is non-existent, but they are lovely to speak to on the phone or email.

I am still looking for the Puppet Show Tunic + Shorts pattern. Does anyone know if it is going to be out again or where I might get a size 4-8 pattern? I have tried most of the sites posted already.

    Thanks!
