My vision is the same way Nicole, I only started wearing glasses with my first. Though they wouldn’t give me a RX while pregnant, I had to wait until after she was born (in case my vision changed again). It cleared up a year or so after her birth but got worse with the second and even worse with the twins and I am back to wearing them again with this little peanut, luckily I already had a fairly current RX after the girls. Ben teases me all the time about it, I am “glad” I’m not the only one.

The glasses-while-pregnant thing doesn’t surprise me! My mother was quite allergic to tomatoes – but only while pregnant. The human body is mysterious.

I just got “followed” by another creeper on Flickr. I’m sure some of you ladies have run into this (and I blocked him right quick), but I’ve had a few lately. One wanted to add pictures of me in my plaid Traveler shirt to his Ladies in Plaid (or something like that) group – when I went to have a look the pics were definitely a little, um, fetishy. And then today my follower has a lot of pictures of little kid underwear in his photo stream and in his favorites. It didn’t appear that he had sewn them, so …

Yuck Masha, I got some weirdo the other day too.

    Block.

I am having a lovely time interstate. I purchased some children mannequins from Melbourne a few weeks back and my husband organised a surprise trip for me to pick them up.

I am sitting up in bed with a room service breakfast after having a bath, all on my own, with no toys at all!

Oh, that sounds lovely, Nicole!!! An undisturbed bath, room service, children mannequins………..sigh….

Oh sounds like bliss! I am currently listening to the kids and hubby negotiating loudly over moves and strategies whilst playing super mario. I’m not playing. I’m waiting for the weekend pattern to print out.

See, isn’t it funny how the human body reacts during pregnancy? Some ladies are fortunate to have easy peasy gestation periods and wild fast and and rather terrifying labors in return. I know one lady who couldn’t feed her babies as she’d break out in hives! Some get diabetes only during pregnancy also – me, only have to really really watch the bp.

I have been wearing specs since the age of 15 and that was only after five years between the teacher telling mum I couldn’t see and me nagging mum for six months because I couldn’t see.

I think to just need them through pregnancy would be annoying but liveable. Congrats on the peanut georgeandizzy – fantastic news and I can’t help but be a tiny bit envious!

Masha, I have had a few “interesting characters” also. It hasn’t been the sole influence to my long holiday from flickr though. You can block them and they will go away.

We had a first bout of cyber bullying the other day. Not with me but with my girl. She participates in an app where you share drawings and the others comment – flickr for kids? Anyway, she posted a photo wearing a homemade Adventure time costume and someone started in abusing her photo and asking when she was going to leave. Fortunately there were some sensible people on there who stuck up for her but it was a learning curve to say the least. This person tried it again with another drawing this time and we worked out how to block them.

Well I think the pattern has printed. The family are still having a great time playing so I might go stick this pattern together and then hang out that washing I have just remembered.

Easter week here and the girls are out of school. I dropped them off at the in-law’s this morning.

I had high hopes for a movie night with my husband but he was suddenly booked on a business trip for work and leaves in a few hours. Hopefully he’ll be back tomorrow night but I’m not holding out hopes for that. Wednesday is looking more likely.

So I plan to go to the movies myself TYVM. Not seeing anything very cultured – Captain America is the plan.

I could sew but I just finished my gingerbread house cross stitch yesterday so I think a break is in order.

Missed this before – I’m sorry your girl is having a tough time with school friends Tamara. Glad she had someone stick up for her as well.

I’m sorry about the troubles with your daughter, Tamara. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for a child or parent to deal with being intentionally hurt by others. As Lotta said, I’m thankful someone was there to defend her.

I am also sorry Tamara. My children have not pushed for Facebook/instagram etc and I am so pleased. There are some rotten little snerds out there that like to make themselves feel better by picking on others.

Perhaps let her have a Pinterest board, my girls do, and they really enjoy that and I can keep an eye on it.

I hope you enjoyed your movie Lotta. That reminds me, my sister gave me two Gold Pass tickets for Christmas.

I had a wonderful weekend away followed by a trip to the City for appointments (sneaky bit of fabric shopping- I have been watching some fabric to make this http://www.pinterest.com/pin/73676143878326089/

and now we are all off for Flu jabs. Have you had yours yet?

Ooh, that’s darling — did you find the fabric you had in mind? I love how you made notes about how to achieve the look.

Tamara, hope you’re able to find a comfortable space for your daughter to connect with other kids.

I did enjoy the movie Nicole, although it was horribly expensive (Swedish movie tickets have risen so much these last few years).

The girls come home today – well, I pick them up. They went swimming with grandma (and cousins and aunt and uncle) yesterday and they both came home with a badge for swimming 200 meters. Clever girlies.

Tonight I have to cut out Isabel’s Easter dress – I’m just making her a knit Lady Skater dress – and I have to get to my taxes. Gah! I told myself I wouldn’t leave them to the last minute this year. Why do I do this to myself?

Thanks ladies! Its so nice to read your lovely messages. She is still on it because there was only one particular person who was causing trouble. We managed to block them and now we know how to block we can continue doing it. The trick is to learn not to be vicious in return.

Facebook etc and especially youtube are an absolute no way in our house despite the pleading for her own youtube account. I was gullible enough to think it was just a drawing app not a drawing and sharing with others app. The door has been opened wide since last year as there were specialised programs introduced featuring the internet etc. it doesn’t mean to say that young children SHOULD participate in these activities.

Fortunately she was brave enough to tell me about it and I am very glad we still have that closeness of relationship where she can feel that she can trust and communicate with her mum.

Lotta the lady skater dress looks fun.

I am considering the flu needles this year, if only we can get well first.

Just finished on a muslin for the hide and seek for Imogen. I have to work on the back – add two inches just so it will close. But other than that I think we are both quite happy.

Ive just looked at Collette’s new knit patterns. I’m seriously considering the Mabel skirt, as I need some skirts that shape AND with the new size ranges I think I might need minimal modifications! 🙂

    I have a Colette Pattern…

This was the subject of group tissue fittings and muslin fittings. I never completed it because I couldn’t get the right fit. I cut like 4 muslin bodices and gave up. Maybe apple shape and tailored aren’t the right combo! 🙂

I have not tried Colette patterns yet but they look pretty.

I pick up Hugo tonight, he has been away working for 4 days. The house being built is a huge modern design made from styrofoam and coated with concrete. The floors are all heated and it has a built in swimming pool. Hugo has been enjoying working with the German building team that are over working on it. He has picked up some great skills and I think he greatly admires their work ethic.

So far it doesn’t look that grand but you can see what it will be.
