Aren’t the patterns in a pocket? Most sewing books I’ve seen have the pattern sheets tucked into a pocket that is glued to the cover. That seems like a much better way to do it!

There is no pocket, just big pages glued to the book, similar to Weekend Sewing, if you have that book. I am just glad they are printed on good solid paper, instead of flimsy pattern tissue. THAT would be a nightmare. I hate it to buy books with tissue paper inside.

I’m still tracking mine. It’s supposed to be in Memphis right now. Tomorrow may be a long day of waiting.

I got my hands on a copy! I just love, love the pattern for the bento box carrier. My older kids will love that one, too!

Mine should arrive from Amazon this week. BUT – I went ahead and ordered an autographed copy just now. The one I get from Amazon will be a nice gift for a sewing friend. 🙂

I “reserved” some sewing time by telling my husband when this book arrives I have to be left alone in my sewing room with it for a little bit!!!

I don’t have Weekend Sewing so I haven’t seen that arrangement. Too bad there is no pocket to store them in. Oh well – I’m sure I’ll “struggle through” LOL. Mine should be arriving this afternoon, which is perfect because I’m sick and spending the day moving between the couch and the bed. Will be nice to flip through between naps.

I was wishy-washy, Nicole, because the price to pre-order from Amazon was so much less expensive. Then Husband pointed out that I should just hold out for the signed copy because of how much O+S means to me. This won’t be just another sewing book, he says. And, really, he’s right.

Just finished flipping through my book – love it! I think I’ll be making the cape for Clara to replace her spring jacket, which is getting too small. I’ll need to add pockets to the lining for her rock collecting. Then I’ll make the vest for Oliver. He’s going to love that with all the pockets! Hmmmm….then maybe a backpack or two. Oh, and we could definitely use new art smocks,…. who needs sleep? I’ll just sew 24/7 and get them all done.

Thanks, Nicole. I do hope to be better soon! Let us know if you decide to order an autographed copy.

I would love to Sandi, but I will shop with my head this time! I have one on the way with free postage. To purchase this and have it sent overseas would just be silly!

I shall just have to be jealous of you chaps!

I’m with you Nicole! Free postage to Oz is just too too valuable! (Trust me – the money I have spent on postage from the US and UK is HUGE! Mind you, if I didn’t have to consider postage costs I would prob just order MORE fabric!)

Hope you are feeling better Sandi!
