    Hi Everyone

I have just bought this pattern after making two of the dolls dresses last week. I am loving it and have nearly finished my first 3-6m dress. For my next dress I planning to make a 18-24m width with a 4T length (yes very tall and skinny). It seems that there is only 2 1/4″ in length between the patterns, but I might add a little more for growth room. I am thinking of adding length to the bodice to make it the same length as the 4T and adding length to the skirt so the proportions stay the same. I am I best to add the lenght in the middle of the skirt (where the notches are befor it flares) or at the bottom to give a large flare consistant with a longer dress.

If anyone’s lengthened this or has any ideas I would love to hear from you. Thanks.

    Its lovely,isn’t it Heidi?

I add length as I have to size down for my skinny malinky daughters.

Personally I add length to the bottom of the bodice, the top of the skirt AND the hem. I find it keeps its sweet fit and flare line that way.

I have seen some versions in which the length has been added in the middle and, only my opinion, they looked a bit stretched.

I have a few example here http://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/sets/72157625798123980/ the purple/aqua version had a good inch added to the bodice, here it is modelled http://www.flickr.com/photos/sayiamyou/7001641601/in/photostream isn’t she sweet?

That said,it would be perfectly correct to add to the middle,it depends on the look one is after,
