Do I edge stitch the neckline?

    I am right now sewing the ice cream dress for the first time. It looks like the directions say not to the edge stitch the neckline (or the arm opening). Is that right? If so, is this a design choice? Doesn’t it need edge stitching to keep it’s shape after washing?

    Hello , have just cut this out in a pinwale cord for a friends baby. I will edge stitch as she is pretty hard on clothes, and I think it will protect the seams.

    We chose not to edgestitch as a design decision, but you can certainly add stitching if you prefer.
