Attaching collar to shirt – sketchbook

    Hi! Am about half way through making my first sketchbook shirt (and I have to say it’s looking quite good :)) – am having a bit of trouble attaching the collar without getting puckers/tucks in the fabric. I’m using the band collar. Any tips?

    I found that I got a few puckers at the back neck of the body each time, I thought perhaps my drafting was not quite up to snuff.

    I clipped into my stay stitching for ease and just stretched it, it looked fine when I pressed it up.

    Is this the problem , Justine ?

    Thanks Nicole! I just can’t seem to make the straight collar ‘fit’ the round neck. I was going to try clipping the neckline but wanted to see if anyone else had a better method. Back to the sewing machine I go!
