I am almost finished a pair of sailboats for my daughter, had anyone done adjustable elastic? Was thinking of making the elastic section like a tunnel and sewing buttons on one of the front flap bits? Also is the seam for the rise not finished? Not sure if I am doing too much scanning of the instruction but I have made a couple of pairs of O+S pants and don’t remember seeing to finish it off.

I have recently pulled them out for my next child.

I have a tute for making them here http://fiveandcounting-motherof5.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/short-cut-sailboat-pants.html if you fancy a peep.

I remember this photo from so many years ago! I will always create an adjustable waist where I can. It’s so useful.
