    Hi

I want to make the 2+2 top but without the ties. I’m sre I’ve seen this done in the Flickr group but can’t find the pics. Has anyone made one like that?

Also, how would I go about making it? I haven’t made this pattern before but was thinking of continuing the binding down to the placket. Would that work?

    Thanks šŸ™‚

Liesl made a gorgeous one with an embroidered button at the front, I think it may be in her fabric selection article.

It would be straight forward to make, finish the front as the back neck, and either make a loop from binding or ribbon and put a button on the other side.

    Clear as mud?

    It looks lovely!

I made one without the ties and it was very easy. Just finish the front as you do the back and tuck in some kind of a closure. I used a broken hair elastic so that my daughter could easily button and unbutton. She loved it.

Don’t forget to post pics when you are finished. šŸ™‚

The ones I’ve made for my 2 year old don’t really flair at the neck, so I bet you could even get away without a loop and button if you didn’t want to have it. Just finish the front exactly as you do the back and voila! Yes, don’t forget pictures!!

Fantastic! I’ve been pondering making a boy version of this top for my son, and now I know how to finish the neck- thanks!
