meleliza started the topic I need to make the prettiest flower girl dress ever! in the forum
Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 11 years agoAfter lots of saving and uncertainty, the tickets are booked and we are definitely going to Ireland for my cousin’s wedding! Kitty will be the flower girl and I totally splurged on
The fabric has a gorgeous drape and will gather up beautifully, so I think a full skirt is in order. But I just keep going back and forth on what I want to do with…[Read more]

We’re definitely in size 5 territory now. Actually, she seems to have somehow suddenly skipped size 5 and needs a 6? But that’s in store sizes. I think O+S 5 will still fit. I recently bought an old copy of swing set – thanks @Nicole! – and plan to make her one for the summer. I just can’t seem to decide which fabric. I think the occasion calls…[Read more]

I popped some sneaky Liberty into the little girls Music Class school blouse via the placket.
We know it is there…… -

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 11 years agoI’d been thinking that I’d love the little girls to have smocked dresses for Easter. Not sure if they will ‘approve’ or not. They seem to have grown up on me overnight!
I want to say that BK’s baptism gown was made using the Twinkle Toes pattern…I’ll have to double check next time I’m at my mom’s.;)

To say we are excited about this project would be a MAJOR understatement!! Our oldest niece has just entered the size 4…and we are already discussing those sweet patterns that don’t go past a 5. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ladies for “stretching” the pattern usage a little further for us. We will definitely be following along, and saving for later!

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 11 years agoOh my….that’s lovely {had to look it up online}!! I can completely see why you’ve been itching to make the Mignonette. We hope to make our youngest niece a dress from AS&E for Easter as well. It is Twinkle Toes from AS&E issue 58. Time will tell if we get it done :).

Nicole I hope it works out. I really logged on to say your Jed is a real gem. My hubby, if asked about the clothes the kids are wearing, would mutter something about patterns online and move as fast as he could in the other direction! It’s great that Jed has so much pride in Your beautiful sewing.
