*I have not made this* but I have seen lots of different versions on lots of body shapes. I think it has enough ease not to need a FBA.
I am very happy to be corrected π

This is definitely Melanie’s field, @Willanna. I have a blog post here https://www.pinterest.com/pin/73676143875948321/ in which I underlined velvet spotted tulle.
However, I would use this method http://oliverands.com/community/forums/topic/added-a-skirt-lining-how-do-i-sew-the-zipper for the lining.
Good luck!

I would fully line the bodice in something soft and non transparent, such as Radiance, a silk cotton blend. Shiny side on the inside so it will be slippery and comfortable.
If don’t want any show through at the neck, darts and armscyes, you can add an underlining to the bodice. Again, it should be something opaque.

Maybe we should ask @FrancesSuzanne to do tips on heirloom sewing AND internet stuff. One of them is a graphic designer and can rock the web! -

Hello. Is this pattern for a B cup? If so, I will need to do an FBA. Are there instructions included in the pattern for this adjustment? Thx.

Oops…and idea on finishing the neckline, too.
I’m tempted to just order the dress, but my daughter is a skinny kid with a long torso, so fit is never simple.

Hi there! My daughter is slated to be a flower girl in my sister’s wedding, and while looking for dress ideas I came across this one:

I’m toying with the idea of making something similar using the Fairy Tale dress pattern. I have not worked with lace…[Read more]

I’d call it more of a blazer than a jacket, per se. You probably wouldn’t be able to layer a sweater under it, but you could wear it over a light blouse or T-shirt.

What about a pintucked feature down the side of a pair of trousers?

When I click either link or reply nothing happens.

Maybe it is just me, but when I click on that link, I am told I don’t have access to that account. I think you posted a link that is for the author of a page, and since the blog id is a number, we can’t search for the blog….. -

My daughter’s most worn items by far have been the first three O+S items I made: three Class Picnic Blouses (https://www.flickr.com/photos/130325089@N02/16191293655/). They were also the 3rd, 4th, and 5th pieces of clothing I’d ever sewn so was really thrilled that she grabbed them every time she spotted them.
