My sister had the same issue with the Lisette patterns (which clearly say “Butterick” on the envelopes!) ringing up as McCalls during the 3/$5 sale a couple weeks ago – except that the store manager wouldn’t honor the terms of the sale and let her have them at the sale price. It took a call to the central customer service center to get it somewhat…[Read more]

Meleliza, I had that same problem yesterday with some of the Lisettle ringing up wrong, as McCall’s. I checked and they were ones with a “P” in the pattern number, i.e. some of the styles (Moto jacket, and crossover dress) had envelopes with two different pattern numbers and PLUs. Got it fixed, no problem, but keep an eye out.
Once I finish my…[Read more]

I can sympathise Sarvi because funnily enough I had the very same thought last Friday. Fortunately we can just stay home this Sunday instead and have a week’s entension. It is a very crazy thought especially in this household right now!

Oh, and I was browsing the Butterick website last night. If you look at their online look book, it tells you what most of the fabrics used on the patterns covers are. The last page tells you where most of the accessories came from!

Cherry Hill had a special display on top of the pattern drawers. Lisette were front row, but they were in fact mixed with McCalls new patterns too.
The patterns from the display were not ringing up at the sale price. They came up as McCall patterns. Check your receipts! Patterns from the drawer rang up as they should. Mixing the display clearly…[Read more]

Do you ever look at the clock, and it’s Friday at 3:30, and you still need to make dinner etc., and think to yourself that it’d be a fine and sensible idea to trace and start cutting out three new things with the idea that they’d be worn Sunday afternoon? Yeah, that’s not the greatest idea.

50 degrees is what get at night in winter but never ever during the day – we are too far north for such temps. It sounds as though there are plenty of ideas. Hope you find the perfect solution.

I have two pairs of puppet show shows cut and ready to sew. One is to pair with an angel top I am still working on and the other is a linen pair I didnt manage to get to before Christmas. I plan to make a tunic to go with it.

Working on the hide and seek pattern, this is one seriously cute dress! Combination of fabric; patterned courduroy, plain velveteen and added hood with ears, and another fantastic Oliver and S pattern. Can’t wait til it’s finished 🙂

I just finished hacking together the Penny pinafore with all my fitting changes with the Swoon Neck Scarf Cardigan. hopefully this will give me a much better fit through the shoulders and arms in my other stretch lace.
Now back to work on the hide and seek 🙂 -
