I just found out why my son announced he wanted to jump the creek on his bike! They are reciting Mulga Bill’s Bicycle as the class poem for the school speech comp!
He’s not going to do it though, because its not the kind you’d want to attempt.

I have been informed that evetually you would be able to purchase fabric online aswell. But that was years ago so here I am thinking they would have made headway on it. I mean it would be just the same as mail order, just online.

They do sell Manchester/homewards online, V, but not fabric. I think you can mail order catalogue fabric though – but only from the current catalogue…

Timely thread – my (paper! Woohoo!) patterns arrived this afternoon and I was just reading the FBA directions on this – step 5 says to end the dart about 1″ from the marked apex, which seemed strange to me – but I guess your issue is why, Sarvi

Giggle! Oh my goodness gracious me that is funny. But I can imagine a little frustrating at the same time seeing as you have to turn around and buy more fabric.
The old adage comes to mind when I read that story – Never send a man to do a woman’s job! Or as I tell me kids when they are looking for something, do a woman’s look not a man’s one!

I was actually hoping they’d send some other prints to my spotters but as I keep getting told they get given pot luck! Its like looking for a particular pattern the last time I was there – a simplicity pattern but it “wasn’t available” because even with the pattern they get what they are given! Its slightly disappointing.
Has anyone purchased…[Read more]

So I saw the lisette jersey on the clearance rack at spotlight over the weekend… I bought what was left on the bolt of the pink (clouds?), which rang up at $7 metre. Thought you girls might be interested, your spotlights might have them as well 🙂

I second loving that playdate dress!
Need to join in this thread so will go find some photos of wee little munchkins that have grown big.

Thanks for the links. Mostly, I’m annoyed that I have a set of Lisette patterns which are too small, and the Simplicity ones are out of print.:-(
I just made a muslin of a Simplicity pattern. Used the size 16 and … it fits.

Liesl has a number of fitting posts on the Lisette site. These posts are Big 4 relevant, not Liesl And Co.
