Thanks for the tip! Although they do have it in-stock, they don’t ship overseas. Darn! The hunt continues…

Apologies for any typos and the lack of a proper link, i’m topping on my phone.
If you can’t find one in the USA then there might be one at http://www.brightonsewingcentre.Co.uk They sometimes have some of the out of print patterns. I have no idea if they ship overseas. Good luck with your hunt.

Have any of y’all seen an online shop that sells the paper pattern for the larger Sailboat top/pants? I realize it’s a discontinued pattern (now available in digital), but I want to find it in paper! I wonder if I’m just out of luck (for the time being), or if someone has stumbled upon one for sale recently? I’m in the USA.
Thanks!!

I am a tad particular too. Once I left univerals, the quality of the stitch was much improved. But in this case a universal would be perfect.

I had the best day at work today, I got to spend all day in the woodwork/metalwork shed at school making wooden swords! I haven’t done any woodwork for over 20 years and that was only one term at school. I used the plane, hammer, chisel and files as well as the belt sanders, and drill. I really enjoyed the physical hands on of woodwork 🙂

Okay; finally tried this, yesterday. No luck! Those suckers wouldn’t lay flat. I had already felted the fabric, so no need to worry about felting it (again)…
I realized I have two options; leave it off completely, or hand-sew it. It’s pajamas…guess which one I chose. 😉 She woke up saying last night was her most “confident night” (meaning com…[Read more]

Thanks @KAREN. Going on a camp is probably the Australian way of saying an extended excursion. They are going to Ningaloo https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ningaloo_Coast. Which is several hours away from us and will be camping for five days I think. It is a year 7 camp which happens annually for this year group and because it is the first year…[Read more]

@motherof5 thank you. I have been looking at one of the dresses and thought darts might work. It’s a darling white eyelet sundress, so I’d really like for P to be able to get some wear put of it. I’ll have to be careful any chalk I use doesn’t show, but I’ll give it a go.

I am with @lightningmcstitch on this one. I made my baby girl some wool jersey Hopscotch nighties in the smallest size. Can you imagine how tiny those front yokes were?
I found a good steamy press made them behave long enough to stitch.

#teamballpointneedle here, I am very particular with needle choice and always use ballpoint needles for knits.
I do agree though, a nice sharp universal for attaching the woven collar would be best.Any blunt needle will cause problems, some you may not be aware of until you wash your garment. I hate those little ‘pull’ marks that can…[Read more]

I think your fabric choice will be your deciding factor here. If you use a soft draping fabric, the fullness will be lovely.
